What this conversion creates
The output is a real WAV (PCM) file encoded as PCM 16-bit. AudibleLite runs a bundled WebAssembly audio engine locally; it does not rename the extension or send your audio to an application conversion server.
When this format helps
WAV is convenient for editing, waveform analysis, and applications that do not import OGG.
The result is broadly compatible PCM WAV and will usually be considerably larger than the source.
Quality and file-size limits
Decoding to WAV avoids another lossy step, but it cannot recover information removed by Vorbis encoding.
PCM WAV is uncompressed, so output size grows with duration, sample rate, channel count, and bit depth. A one-minute stereo 44.1 kHz 16-bit file is roughly 10 MB.
