What this conversion creates
The output is a real WAV (PCM) file encoded as PCM 16-bit. AudibleLite runs a bundled WebAssembly audio engine locally; it does not rename the extension or send your audio to an application conversion server.
When this format helps
WAV is often easier to import into audio editors, presentation tools, and production software.
The result is a standard 16-bit PCM WAV. Expect a much larger file than the MP3 source.
Quality and file-size limits
WAV does not restore detail lost during MP3 encoding. It only stores the decoded signal without further lossy compression.
PCM WAV is uncompressed, so output size grows with duration, sample rate, channel count, and bit depth. A one-minute stereo 44.1 kHz 16-bit file is roughly 10 MB.
